Rudolf H. Moos
As one of the Social Climate Scales, the primary uses of the MEI include: describing military units; comparing the perceptions of officers, NCOs, and enlisted members; monitoring changes over time; contrasting different units; and performing other evaluations. It measures involvement, peer cohesion, officer support, personal status, order and organization, clarity, and officer control.
